State Report Card Scores Released
Meagan Holt

We are pleased to announce that the Blount County School System has maintained a high B on the 2023 Alabama State A-F Report Card.  Various indicators, including academic achievement, academic growth, graduation rate, college and career readiness, chronic absenteeism (students missing 18 or more days of school), and progress in English language proficiency, contributed to our overall score of 87. You can view our state report card HERE. Academic achievement is trending in a positive direction, and our chronic absenteeism rate is among the lowest in the state.  Our graduation rate has consistently been in the 90s since 2015, and our graduates are college and career ready.

We are still working toward our goals, but the progress we are making is a testament to the efforts and dedication of our educators, students, families, and the wider community. Our focus remains on implementing effective strategies, refining our approach, and providing the necessary support to ensure that every student reaches their full potential. Our commitment to excellence remains steadfast, and we are excited to see where this journey takes us.
